Do not forget --- A "word picture" is a picture your mind creates as you read a book or story. (The concept or idea of a "word picture" is very important for developing abstract thinking skills which is so necessary for understanding the Bible).
Whenever you or your parents read a story, ask yourself ....
Along with the above questions, keep an eye out for the rascally villian in a book! He is sure to pop up and try to entice the hero to do wrong or places snares before the hero.

Another reason to know the publisher is simply because you may enjoy the works they produce. |

Remember what your parents have taught you in the past ? ...

Remind your children that the above Scripture verse and others tell us the motive of the villain ... to be as our God and to replace our King. Review vocabulary words like --- pagan, infidel, or humanist (as all these terms hold essentially the same meaning).
In this series of book reports we will finish up with our evaluation of a book and begin to look at what comprises a story (e.g., exposition and rising action). Again, you will now have plenty of practice writing book reports.

| DO NOT refer to yourself at all in the book report until the last paragraph. Then you may use personal pronouns like "I" |
| NEVER have a sentence following another one that starts with the same exact words !!!! |

DO NOT use the same word or a version of the same word more than once in a sentence/ paragraph e.g., shows, showing, showed ---- FIND ANOTHER WORD !!! |
| Begin to use the Thesaurus --- we should no longer see you using the words sad/ glad/ mad/ scared when evaluating (last paragraph) your book |

| Fill out your Book Report Form as you read your book. In this way, you will not forget anything. | |

| READ your book report off of your Book Report Form. Does everything sound right? If not, correct it NOW ! | |
