Go get your math/grammar basket or sack.   It should be empty.

Go to your bedroom, the front room, and outside to pick up 8 nouns.  

Show your parents what you have picked up in each place.  

Count and name the items from each place for your parents.  

How many items do you have altogether?

Think of other places you can go to pick up 8 nouns.  Show your daddy and mama what you found.  Count and name your items.  How many nouns do you have altogether?

Do not put your nouns away.  You will need them shortly !

Special Note

Put 8 pence in one pile.  Do not take any pennies away.  How many pennies do you have?
