Unlocking the Mysteries of Life
How did life originate? Perhaps no question has mystified mankind
more. Did life on Earth- with all its incredible complexity and
diversity- arise from an undirected evolutionary process, as many
scientists have believed sincethe time of Charles Darwin? Or was
something else at work? Unlocking the Mystery of Life is a fascinating
journey into the interior of a single living cell- an elaborate
microscopic world with distinct systems that point dramatically
to overwhelming evidence of intelligent design. 60 min
Creation or Evolution?

this controversial subject.
Incredible Creatures that Defy Evolution
No matter where you place yourself on the Evolution--Theistic
Evolution--Intelligent Design--Creationism spectrum, you are going
to marvel at this program and its fascinating exploraiton of scientific
marvels in the world of animals. For the past 20 years, Dr. Jobe
Martin has been fascinating his students as he lectures on these
remarkable animals that cannot be explained by traditional evolution.
Hear powerful evidence that suggests how some animal designs can
be attributed only to a Creator. 47 min
Science Fiction
Star Wars (1977, 20th Century Fox/Lucas Film Ltd.) Mark Hamill plays Luke Skywalker, Harrison Ford is Han Solo, Carrie Fisher portrays Princess Leia Organa, Peter Cushing is Grand Moff Tarkin, and Alec Guiness is Ben (Obi-Wan) Kenobi --- For the time, state of the art special effects were used (great way to do a compare/contrast with Jason and the Argonauts --- this movie is listed under Ancient/Greece). Farmboy, Luke Skywalker, joins with other freedom fighters to do battle against Darth Vadar and his evil cronies. Even though the producers/directors did not intend it, this movie is still a great way to point out Christian worldviews. My family generally sings a rousing chorus of Onward Christian Soldiers, Christ Shall Have Dominion, A Mighty Fortress is Our God, Faith of Our Fathers or other rousing Christian hymns after the movie (for days!). Many Reformation themes are throughout the movie (obviously, unintended by Hollywood) and the Freedom Fighters are shades of Oliver Cromwell (yeah!). Throughout the Star War series do a compare/contrast with WWII Army-Air Corps flight tactics.
The Return of the Jedi (1983, 20th Century Fox/Lucas Film Ltd.) This is the second in the series featuring, primarily, the same cast. Again, state of the art special effects for the time.
The Empire Strikes Back (1980, 20th Century Fox/Lucas Film Ltd.) The final episode in the Star Wars series.
