Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD:  though your sins be as scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow;
though they be red like crimson,

Valentine's Day Card

Valentine's Day cards may be whimsical, humorous, charming, ornate, and sensitive.  What type of card, how it is made and decorated is all up to you.  For a whimsical or humorous card you may want to use some cute jokes or fun poems.  For serious and sensitive cards, you may want to print off appropriate poems or lyrics to wonderful songs or meaningful Scriptures verses and glue it to the inside of your card.  Be creative and ornate as you desire!  Use glitter, sparkles, paper doilies, crayons, markers, color pencils, etc.

Good morrow, 'tis Saint Valentine's Day
All in the morning time,
And I a maid at your window,
To be your Valentine.
        — William Shakespeare

Stand and be counted !

This is what Saint Valentine did.  Taking a stand against humanism is not always safe, pleasant, and fun.  This can be a mighty powerful family discussion!  For Christian families:  Remind your children this is why you are homeschooling or sending them to a quality private Christian school.

Secret Kindness

Do something kind for someone else.  Many say, "I would die" for so-and-so and such-and-such.  The real question is:  Are you willing to live for your King and faith as you are commanded to by Him?  Are you willing — without complaining, murmuring, or grumbling — do what 2 Corinthians 10:5 commands?

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:5

Love ?

Ask various individuals in and about your neighborhood for their the definition of "love".

Record them. Next, look up the word in the dictionary of your choice.
(NOTE:  You may even want to verbally compare different definitions from various dictionaries).

Record the dictionary definition(s).

Finally, learn how God defines love by looking it up in the Bible.

How do these definitions compare?

Be a Song Writer !

Come up with a tune for the words below (perhaps the tune of Jingle Bells ?, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star ?, Happy Birthday to You ?, Ring Around the Rosey ?, and/or I'm a Little Teapot ?, etc. may work?) ...

The rose is red, the violet's blue
Sugar's sweet and so are you,
If you love me as I love you,
No knife can cut our love in two.
My love for you will never fail
As long as pussy has her tail.

Geography

In Italy On Line
This is a VERY nifty sight that allows one to explore the different regions in Italy, learn about Italy's various festivals, and even includes a This Month's Cultural Events. Learn about St. Valentine's country, history, Italy's constitution, regions, towns, cultural tidbits, more

Tip:
I taught my children where various Italian cities were located by pretending I was wearing only one high-healed boot and showing them on my leg where the city was and, then, having my children point to their own leg to show the city.  Tell your scholars Sicily is a football and Sardinia is an extra football.  This geography activity can be soooooooooo much fun especially if you incorporate tickling in the process while pointing to an Italian city on your scholar's leg!
