I cannot believe that he is 19 to day. Where has all the time gone? Today he is a man. That is difficult for me as he has always been my "different" one. Very emotional!!!! One minute he could be hysterically laughing and the next crying profusely. He has dreams and goals and I know I need to let go and allow him to work through them himself. Time for him to learn lessons from experiencing consequences. I would feel better about letting go of my youngest today than him.
Today , he is going to ask a girl to the prom that has no idea. He just wants to go. He bought her a Teddy Bear and a rose to take to school later today to ask her. hmmm He said, "I'm not afraid of rejection." Bless his heart. He will try anything. He isn't afraid at all. He has great self esteem and sees himself as good at everything. He even took a shower this morning!!! That is really growing up for him!!
Time to whisk him off to our traditional birthday breakfast at McDonalds. Happy Birthday Son!!
