“Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends leave footprints in your heart."– Eleanor Roosevelt
Dear friends leave today for his new job in Georgia. He is leaving his family behind to finish school and sell their home. They plan to join him in June. Kristin has been their baby sitter for 4 or 5 years now. I have listened to him on the radio for nearly all 9 of the years we've lived here. She was Kristin's L/D nurse when she gave birth to Leah, was suppose to be there for Blake...and if there is any way possible, has vowed to be back here when she delivers Blake.
I am sitting here, in tears, wondering how my daughter is holding up. She went to see them--is taking care of Sadie while the family takes him down and gets him settled. She doesn't do goodbyes well at all...and, well, neither do I, which is why I am home.
I have a dear high school friend in the same town they are going to, and she's promised to take care of them. And, I know she will do a great job of it! She also has a couple of teen girls the right age to serve as their baby sitter, so they'll be all set up.
But, when you know and love someone as much as we know and love The Brandons, it is so very hard to let go.
