Well this has been a week that has been very busy. Keeping up with every one's schedule and my grand daughter is wild. I took some time to eat my lunch on the back porch the other day. I sat there watching the birds and pondering God's creation. God has just given us so much to look at and enjoy. I just love watching the squirrels and birds that skip through my yard. I started thinking about life and balance and all I have accomplished this year. So far, I have managed to lose almost 42 lbs!!! I have worked, taken care of the house, gardened, mowed, babysat, adult and teen sat(my kids) and more.
I thought that my greatest accomplishment was my weight loss, but after pondering why I have been able to lose I decided my greatest accomplishment has been a balanced life that has allowed me to be more peaceful and satisfied. This has promoted good weight management.
Balance. We see it in all of God's creation. Without balance, we will never be at peace in our life. things don' t function well when they are not balanced. I look back at my home school years and see that I was so out of balance. I home schooled like all get out, but let other things and relationships go to pot!! My body and health suffered greatly. My relationship with my children suffered beyond belief.
Balance is so important. Whenever I am top heavy in anyone area, the other areas suffer. When I work a lot, home, my weight, my walk with God all suffer. Does that mean I should never put in an extra day? No, it means that chronic overdoing anything makes you lose your balance.
My goal for the rest of this year is to stay as balanced as possible. Having good health; physical, mental, and relational, are very important to me.
God bless and have a great week
